Rather than having a wide range of pricing options to choose from like other psychic reading sites, Psychic Encounters has a simple flat-rate pricing model for all advisors inside their network.
Psychic Encounters has over 250+ psychics in their network who are available for phone call and chat readings. They also have a mobile app for on-the-go psychic readings. Because their site doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that other sites do, they can extend those savings on to you in the form of low-cost readings.
But is this company legitimate? Are their psychic readings accurate? In this Psychic Encounters review, I'll tell you everything you need to know (including the pros and the cons).

How Does the Process Work?
The process of getting a psychic reading from Psychic Encounters is pretty simple. Once you visit their website, you simply click on the "See All Psychics" link at the top of the page. This will take you to their directory, where you can see which online psychics are available for a reading.
Next, you can look through their list of advisors until you find someone that you feel a connection with. You'll notice that some psychics offer phone readings, some offer chat readings, and some offer both options.
If you click on a psychic's picture, you will be taken to their profile page for more information. From there, you can learn about their specialties, their background, availability, and the number of reviews.
One you settle on a psychic, you'll be prompted to setup an account if you don't have one already.
Unfortunately, the search function at the top of the page is lackluster. You can only search by name or topic, and there are no filters available. So, if you want a psychic who specializes in tarot cards, for example, you can’t search for one.
Types of Psychics and Specialties Offered
As with the website, Psychic Encounters has also slimmed down the types of readings their psychics offer. There are four types of psychic readings offered on their website:
- Love
- Money
- Departed Loved Ones
- Life Path
If you’re looking for psychics that use specific tools such as tarot cards or rune stones, it will likely be a challenge to find someone who uses them. Psychic Encounters does not have a place for their psychics to list whether they work with spirit guides or angels either.
Aside from what is in the psychic’s short bio, you will only know your psychic is clairvoyant or a medium if you connect with them and ask. This is a frustrating feature that we hope they change in the future.
Psychic Encounters App
Psychic Encounters does offer an app that will allow you to connect with your psychic from anywhere. The mobile app is available both in the Apple Store and Google Play.
The process is the same: choose your psychic and connect.
The mobile app also offers notifications for when your favorite psychics are available, a reading history so you can look back at them, and the convenience of getting a reading from your phone.
The Psychic Encounters mobile app is rated 3.5 stars in the Apple app store and 3.6 stars on Google Play. The Android version of the app is not compatible with all Android devices, but it is free to download and install.
Pricing
Psychic Encounters offers a very straightforward per-minute pricing solution.
No fancy minute packages force you to buy specific amounts to get a deal. You don’t have to keep an account balance to speak to a psychic.
You pay for the minutes you use, and every psychic on the site charges either $1.99 or $0.99 per minute.
Psychic Encounters will pre-authorize $29.70 (the cost of a 30-minute reading) on your credit card or Paypal account before your psychic reading. The final transaction total, however, will be based on the duration of your reading. If you don’t connect with your psychic, they will reverse the $29.70 charge within 3-5 business days.

Currently, Psychic Encounters accepts any debit or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discovery) as well as Paypal.
With Psychic Encounters' focus on simple, no-frills psychic sessions, it is not surprising that a more streamlined payment process is in the works.

We already mentioned some of the great aspects of this service. Here are some more perks that come with Psychic Encounters:

Cons
It makes sense to be hesitant to spend money on readings. If you have reservations, here are a few disadvantages of the service:

Their advisors specialize in over 24 subjects, from Mayan astrology to pet psychics and chakra cleansing. While their prices are higher than those at Psychic Encounters, they offer phone, chat, or email sessions 24/7 via their website or app.

The Bottom Line
If you prefer a no-frills, inexpensive, streamlined psychic reading experience via phone or chat, then Psychic Encounters may be a good match for you.
However, with an unclear screening process, no way to filter psychics by their tools or reading style, and no satisfaction guarantee, we recommend Psychic Source or Keen for a genuine, personal psychic reading.
